Whitecaps-Impact: There’s history there, but is it still a rivalry?
via theprovince.comIt’s hard to call it a rivalry when you only see each other once a year in the regular season, but the embers of dislike still smoulder with the Vancouver Whitecaps and Montreal Impact.
The two teams meet for the third time in an MLS season opener this Sunday, when the Caps host the Impact at B.C. Place (3 p.m., TSN, TSN 1040). While there is a long and storied history between the clubs from their USL days, the MLS meetings have been limited to one regular-season game a season and eight Ca -

Still lots of compelling UFC storylines, despite falling pay-per-view numbers
via theprovince.comSaturday’s UFC 222 pay-per-view isn’t likely to do big numbers, having lost its original main event between featherweight champion Max Holloway and veteran challenger Frankie Edgar.
Truth be told, even with that bout still intact, this card probably wasn’t going to do much more than 300,000 buys, if that. And even now with Edgar remaining on the card to face unbeaten upstart Brian Ortega, and Cris Cyborg stepping up to defend her featherweight title against former Invicta FC ch -

Wine Guy: Canned cleansing ales
via theprovince.comYes, the Vancouver International Wine Festival is currently in full swing. And yes, there is a multitude of amazing wines to be tasted.
But the reality remains, at the end of a day (or eight) taken over by wine, the palate can really use a cleansing ale. Don’t believe me? Ask a winemaker.
Thus this week it’s a tap takeover, or more correctly a canned annexation, as there is a real story in the resurgence of aluminum on the filling line. Indeed, cans have quickly become the vess -
