Old scams take on increasingly digital twist
via vancouversun.comAs consumers increasingly flock online, so are scam artists.
At the top of the Better Business Bureau scam list for 2017 was online purchase scams, said the organization’s local CEO Danielle Primrose as she announced March as fraud prevention month.
Online purchase scams can consist of fake websites, counterfeit goods, “free trial” traps and fake celebrity endorsements, she said.

Fab 5: Go au naturel
via vancouversun.comEspadrilles for spring? Definitely not groundbreaking. But espadrilles, raffia-trimmed clothes, woven straw basket bags, gauzy linens and so much more? Well, now there’s something worth writing about.
This season, look to au naturel fabrics, textures and hues for some much-needed relief — a reprieve, if you like — from the other dominant trends of the season (logomania and clashing, rainbow brights, we’re especially looking at you).

Premier John Horgan, last week, said B.C. will s -

Giants’ Tendeck trending towards getting taken in NHL draft
via theprovince.comSix Western Hockey League goalies have been selected in the past two NHL drafts and Vancouver Giants netminder David Tendeck has statistics on par.
Lost in the Giants’ run at a playoff spot, the 50-goal season of Ty Ronning and the hoopla around potential 2019 first-rounder Bowen Byram has been the play of Tendeck. The 18-year-old netminder from North Vancouver is third in the WHL in goals against (2.85) and second in save percentage (.916), while fashioning a 23-13-3-2 record.

Week 5: Nearing the home stretch
via vancouversun.comAs we enter week 5, I am confronted by two very important facts:I am not a morning person.

Ice and snow on the False Creek seawall made it too risky to run outside. Our Saturday morning run was cancelled and I got the rare opportunity to sleep in. I secretly did a little dance, drank a shake and then headed for the relative warmth of the gym.
