  A man who suffered critical injuries in an assault outside the Astoria Hotel has died.
  Vancouver Police were called to the Downtown Eastside hotel near East Hastings and Hawks Street shortly before 11:30 p.m. last Tuesday. First responders on scene located a man unconscious at a bus stop.
