The family of a Surrey man shot and killed in a 2004 dispute is outraged that his killer is applying for supervised leave from prison just six months into a six-year sentence.
Amandeep Bath was 27 years old on Sept. 4, 2004, when he and a friend were out at a New Westminster nightclub and began receiving calls from Bhabjit Aujla and Parminder Basran requesting they meet up. Bath and his friend refused and headed home to Surrey, where they ran into Aujla and Baran near Bath’s house.

Vancouver Singing Christmas Tree celebrates 50th anniversary
via vancouversun.comSince 1967, thousands of people have basked in the warm glow and angelic voices of the Singing Christmas Tree at Broadway Church, whose deep roots in the Lower Mainland have helped the concert grow into a lively variety show now drawing close to 20,000 spectators each winter.
Some of its cast and crew, like 83-year-old singer Lillian Hanson, have been involved since Day 1, when the branches could hold up to 47 singers and were made with freshly cut evergreen boughs stapled to planks. The ‘ -

The Canucks were actually good.
For a period.
But what a glorious period it was.
The Sedins came out having clipped five years from their age.
It’s not the only time it’s happened in the past couple of weeks, by the way. That, in word, is encouraging.
The Canucks were fast, dominant and in control. Seventeen shots on net. In a period.

Ed Willes: Leafs might be best young team, but Canucks aren’t bad, either
via theprovince.comDepending on where you are and who you’re talking to, most informed hockey fans would identify the Toronto Maple Leafs as the best young team in the NHL.
