Keyboard Kimura: Garbrandt off base in two-step plan to take over the world
via theprovince.comCody Garbrandt’s plan is pretty straightforward and involves only two steps:
Step 1: Smash T.J. Dillashaw next weekend at UFC 217 at Madison Square Garden. Step 2: Call the shots and collect all the money.
As far as the 26-year-old bantamweight champion is concerned, dispatching Dillashaw would mean he’s cleaned out the 135-pound ranks and if he does that, he should have his choice of opponents.
“With a win over T.J., I’ve wiped out the division,” Garbrandt sai -

Some, or none of them, could be part of a new program to marry art and engineering in the city of Vancouver.
The city is looking to embed three artists for consecutive 18-month periods in the engineering department. The innov -

For a band that was lumped in with the whole short-lived New Romantic movement, Depeche Mode seemed an unlikely candidate for global stardom. But the group not only achieved it, it also established a template for electro pop in the 1980s that has remained the standard for the genre. Pounding grooves, cathartic choruses and dark, moody lyrics addressing the underbelly of society.

UBC needs to beat Regina to earn right to host Rams in Canada West football playoffs

In their Canada West football regular season finale at Thunderbird Stadium on Saturday (1 p.m.), the T-Birds will be looking for payback for a 36-20 loss to the Rams in Regina on Sept. 1.
That game was payback for the Rams, who had dropped 40-34 decision at home to UBC in the Canada West Hardy Cup semifinals to end the 2016 season. That, of course, had been payback for the T-Birds, who dropped a pair of regular season -

In crushing San Jose 5-0 at the Dome, the Caps showed they can both entertain and also can put games away.
