We’re deep inside the spectacular slot canyon of Wadi Mujib, one of Jordan’s nine protected nature reserves. Shafts of sunlight reach down to illuminate layers of rock compressed over the millennia. W -

Vancouver Sun music reviews Oct. 23, 2017
via vancouversun.comWolf Parade: Cry Cry Cry (Sub Pop): This Montreal-formed quartet clearly benefited from its extended hiatus since 2010’s Expo 86. The qualities that were always present in its mix — prog rock, indie pop and post-punk drama — are all more to the forefront on the immaculately produced 11-track album. The layered keyboards and gloomy, operatic phrasing of Krug on the opening track Lazarus Online evokes the best qualities of Sisters of Mercy. But this mood only lasts one song, as -
