Pilot makes safe highway landing in B.C., but take off proved more difficult

RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass says the pilot of the single-engine Cessna 172 made the emergency landing Wednesday on Highway 97 about 50 kilometres north of Prince George.

Smoke in passenger area causes delays on SeaBus
via vancouversun.comSeaBus commuters experienced delays early Thursday, after smoke filled up the passenger area on the 7:30 a.m. sailing.
TransLink says they pulled the boat out of service and are running the backup ferry, while they investigate the problem.
TransLink confirmed there was no fire, and said the smoke was caused by grease on a coupling. TransLink also says were no injuries from smoke inhalation.

Crews battle large house fire in Surrey
