Ecole Sage Creek School principal Marc Poirier said the decision was made following a length discussion with staff and a student committee. Fire engulfs West Broadway building, knocks out power in Mt. Pleasant
via vancouversun.comA large fire in Vancouver destroyed a West Broadway building Sunday night.
Vancouver firefighters were able to contain the blaze to just one building, the African Arts and Percussions building at 163 West Broadway.
Staff at Martini’s Restaurant, which is next door, said about 50 diners and staff were in the restaurant where the fire started, sometime after 9:30 p.m.
They said there appeared to be no damage to their building.
