  This week, West Vancouver Police shared details of a new driver who was caught doing nearly double the speed limit on the Upper Limits Highway.
  The novice driver was clocked doing 175 km/h in a stretch where the limit is usually 90 km/h. Police issued the driver a $700 fine and impounded his vehicle for a week. The driver was also responsible for the cost of the impound storage “and the long taxi ride home.”
