Style update brightens, blends out natural silver
via vancouversun.comDiane Jamieson, 56, is retired and wanted to treat herself to a style update.
Jamieson has thick and previously coloured hair. She has a lot of silver outgrowth, and was frustrated with the amount of maintenance it needed. I wanted to brighten up her overall colour to complement her blue eyes and complexion, as well as to eliminate the brassy tones from her existing colour.
I also wanted to create a formula that would soften and blend out the natural silver in her hair. I started by applying a t -

Despite a shootout loss, Canucks and NHL can claim modest victory in China
via theprovince.comBEIJING – It will take the NHL another five years to fully measure the success of this experiment but, in the aftermath of the China Games, the league could claim a modest victory in its first foray into the Eastern Empire.
The Vancouver Canucks, meanwhile, had more immediate concerns from this two-game series but, after a shaky start, the Canucks could claim their own modest victory on Saturday night.

Willes: Three thoughts on Saturday’s Canucks-Kings game in Beijing
via theprovince.com1. The penalties (or lack thereof)
Thursday night’s game in Shanghai was reduced to a special team’s contest with the two teams combining for 17 power plays. Saturday night’s affair in Beijing, which didn’t look any different on the ice, produced six power plays, three per team. So how do you explain the discrepancy?
