REAL SCOOP: Jarrod Bacon back in jail after strip club incident
via vancouversun.comThat didn’t take long.
Just a few months after Jarrod Bacon was let out of prison on statutory release, he is back behind bars.
While statutory release is virtually automatic for inmates who serve two-thirds of their sentence, the Parole Board of Canada can impose special conditions on that release.
In Bacon’s case, he was ordered to stay away from criminals and establishments that serve liquor.
And he breached both those conditions so is back in jail.
Here’s my story:

Wine Guy: Shoulder season sippers
via theprovince.comI love this time of year in British Columbia. There is a palpable sense of transition in the air. The air is crisper, yet the sun’s rays are still charged with warmth. The berries and other peak fruit of summer have passed, but the harvest bounty still ripens in fields. Shorts are still passable, however it’s wise to pack a jacket. It’s officially shoulder season, and my thoughts have turned to a new crop of seasonal wines — bottles with a bump of oomph and richness that -

Ed Willes: Canucks trying to find their way at training camp in China
via theprovince.comSHANGHAI — It is the end of Day 2 in the Vancouver Canucks’ great Chinese adventure and Travis Green has been asked a number of questions about the charms of Shanghai, without once being asked about the chances of Brock Boeser or Jake Virtanen making his team.
