  New Westminster police have arrested man in connection with the drug overdose death of a 13-year-old Port Coquitlam girl.
  Police says the teen and a friend purchased MDMA from street-level drug dealer at New Westminster’s 22nd SkyTrain Station on July 15.
  The girl went into medical distress while returning home to Port Coquitlam and later died at Royal Columbian Hospital.

  KELOWNA — A gymnastics coach who secretly filmed his young athletes using the toilet has received a two-year sentence for making and possessing child pornography.
  Angelo Despotas, 48, betrayed the trust of the students he was supposed to be teaching, guiding and inspiring, provincial court Judge Jim Threlfall told a sentencing hearing in Kelowna.
