On Thursday, the Lu’ma Native Housing Society issued a notice of trespass to residents at a tent city located at 950 Main St, ordering them gone by 7 a.m. on Friday.
The lot is slated to be the site of 26 new units of social housing, managed by the society. All of the units are designated for aboriginal households.
Lu’ma signed a 60-year lease with the city on the property Thursday, the same day the notice of trespass was issued.
