Kenogami Street Break and Enter – Police Seek Suspect
THUNDER BAY – CRIME – Thunder Bay Police Service officers were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of South Kenogami Street at 2:40 am on June 26, 2018, after the homeowner woke to find a male in the residence.
The 57-year-old female homeowner fell asleep on the couch and awakened to find the male in her living room. She began to scream for her husband who was in the home at which point the suspect struck her.

THUNDER BAY – CRIME – Thunder Bay Police are investigating an assault that occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. on June 26, 2018, in Brodie Street and Victoria Avenue area.

Fort Frances – $2400 in Fines for Failing to Tend a Fire
FORT FRANCES – A Fort Frances man has been fined and ordered to pay forest fire suppression costs under the Forest Fires Prevention Act.
Geoffrey Stanger was convicted at trial and fined $800 for starting a fire without a permit and $800 for failing to tend a fire. He was also ordered to pay $800 for the cost of putting out the fire.
