  Q Many years ago, I bought a pair of kiwi fruit plants. At that time, you had to buy a male and female plant to ensure fertilization. Neither plant ever had anything resembling blooms, and one plant thrived while the other eventually died. Since then I've twice planted a newer variety that only requires one plant. They both died. One of the original plants is still alive but not doing much of anything. If I ever get another unisexual plant to survive, will it produce anything on the older plant?
