  Edmontonians can expect an average mosquito season this summer with numbers expected to peak in July, according to City of Edmonton Pest Management Coordinator Mike Jenkins.
  “Last year it was cold right until the end of April so we had a really late season,” said Jenkins. “This year we had a roughly normal start to the season in terms of timing, but it’s been very chilly at night so there’s been less activity for the larvae.”

  As the city’s mosquito management program gets underway, experts say Edmontonians can expect an average mosquito season this summer with peak numbers set for July.
