In a major blow to the Canadian oil industry, Enbridge Inc. now expects the replacement and expansion of its Line 3 crude oil pipeline to be in service about one year later than expected.
The project, previously slated to start shipping crude in the fourth quarter of this year, is now expected to enter service in the second half of 2020, the Calgary-based company said Friday. Construction is being pushed back because the Minnesota permitting process won’t be complete until November, and th

Cult of Hockey Player Grades: The Edmonton Oilers deliver a solid defensive effort in 4-0 win in Columbus
Edmonton Oilers 4 Columbus Blue Jackets 0
The Edmonton Oilers kept the window on their post-season hopes open a sliver with a fine performance on the road on a Saturday afternoon in Columbus, winning 4-0 on the strength of dominant offensive performances by its two best players.
The Oilers mostly kept the Blue Jackets out of the circles in their own end, meaning that a majority of the 30 Columbus shots came from the perimeter. Score effects were a significant factor as well as early as half-way -

Saturday's letters: Wilson-Raybould is a true patriot
The testimony given by Jody Wilson-Raybould this week, and her actions in the final months of her tenure as attorney general of Canada were truly remarkable.
She showed her deepest loyalty is to her country, not to her political party or to her own self-interests.
Obviously, she is not a true politician, but rather a true patriot. She is indeed a hero.

Opinion: Why smoking by Alberta teens is on the rise
I was four years old when my grandpa died of lung cancer — due to smoking. One of my earliest memories is visiting him in the hospital and being hoisted up onto his bed for a visit.
Fast-forward four decades later, and thousands of Albertans are still dying every year from smoking. Tobacco use is still the leading cause of preventable death and illness in Alberta and across Canada, with more than 3,800 Albertans dying annually due to tobacco-related causes.
And surprisingly, with smoking t -
