  A 76-year-old man who used a wheelchair has died a week after being hit by a pickup truck in the city’s northeast.
  In a release Saturday, police said a male pedestrian in an electric wheelchair was travelling westbound across 50 Street at 165 Avenue when he was hit by a Ford pickup truck around 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 12.
  The 32-year-old male driver of the truck was allegedly travelling southbound on 50 Street when the collision happened. The man was struck in a marked crosswalk, police said.

  A woman has died following an attack during an alleged home invasion in northeast Edmonton, police say.
  The incident occurred at a home near 120 Avenue and 61 Street, in the Montrose neighbourhood, at around 8:50 p.m. Friday night.
  Police said they received reports of gunfire at the house.
  The attackers had already left by the time officers arrived, but police did find an injured man and woman inside the home, police said in a news release Saturday morning.

  A WestJet plane leaving Edmonton International Airport for Victoria slid off the taxiway Friday night.
  In a email statement, WestJet spokeswoman Lauren Stewart said Flight 173 left the taxiway due to icy conditions.
  Stewart said none of the guests or crew were injured. Everyone has been deplaned and returned to the airport terminal by bus.
