The front windows of the office were shattered by large rocks Tuesday night. Nobody was hurt.
In a Wednesday news release, the MLA for Lac La Biche-St. Paul-Two Hills said his office received an email from a person who took responsibility for the vandalism and attributed the actions to what Hanson called “over-the-top rhetori -

Wednesday's letters: Residents the poorer for zoning change
Re. “Single-family zoning is gone and that’s a good thing,” Elise Stolte, Jan. 14
To discriminate in favour of permitting only single-family zoning to the exclusion of all businesses and places for entertainment in the core of the Glenora neighbourhood has ensured a most desirable outcome.
This community of mainly single-family character homes receives only high praise. Most residents’ yards, adjacent boulevards and parks support an abundance and variety of mature tree sp -
Watch: Seniors transportation service needs funding
Drive Happiness is a little-known but incredibly important part of Edmonton’s transportation system. It’s a non-profit serving seniors who either can’t afford a taxi, or whose medical conditions mean they need more time and attention.

He said producers have passed the point of frustration.

A taxi cab would have come and gone empty already by the time Drive Happiness volunteer Robert Haslam figures he better go check on his senior again.
He’s incredibly patient, knocking on the door again to help the man get oriented. He’s heading out to visit a friend to play cards, but daily details can be tough to track at 86.
“Yeah, he did forget for a second,” Haslam says with a smile, sliding back into the driver’s seat Tuesday.

David Staples: Tatsuo Asai stubbornly seeks perfection in a bowl of soup
Tatsuo (Ted) Asai is an exceptionally warm, wise and dignified individual. Just don’t cross him when it comes to his soup.
The other day, Asai says, six young rich kids pulled up in fancy cars and sat down at his Tokiwa Ramen restaurant in Edmonton’s Brewery District. They ordered and were served, only to sit their texting and playing video games on their phones, even as the perfectly cooked al dente noodles got soggy.
Asai approached them and tapped the table. “I cook these no -
