  A Parkland County woman is facing criminal animal cruelty charges after RCMP received reports about malnourished horses on her property.
  RCMP CPl. Chris Warren said Saturday three horses were found dead on the woman’s property after a member of the public reported seeing starving horses there.
  Evansburg RCMP began investigating on Dec. 12, Warren said.
  On Friday, police arrested the woman without incident.

  A mother who campaigned with leaflets, letters and a poster on her car falsely claiming an Edmonton school principal was abusive, racist and a criminal has been ordered to pay $260,000 in damages for defamation.
