Edmonton Oilers situation with Milan Lucic is "almost untenable" and he must be moved "whatever it takes," says NHL insider. Huh?!
This in from NHL insider Frank Seravalli of TSN, a rather dire take on the Edmonton Oilers situation, especially in regards to Milan Lucic’s future with the team. Speaking to Allan “Lowetide” Mitchell on TSN1260 on Friday, Seravalli said: “I’m concerned about the Milan Lucic situation. I mean, you talk about Erik Karlsson and what a mess that has been in Ottawa, and you talk about Jeff Skinner and the fact that he hasn’t been traded from Carolina, and Ju -

Saturday's letters: Take corrosion claims with grain of salt
Re. “City’s new anti-icing method harder on cars, expert says,” July 5
Today’s cars and trucks are extremely well-built in terms of preventing rust and corrosion.
For example, there are no pockets or voids in the fenders or bumpers that retain moisture. In fact, fender skirts and bumper covers have been made of high-grade plastics for years now. Higher-end vehicle panels are often made from high-grade aluminum. The same goes for Ford trucks.
Unless the vehicles of these r -
Opinion: Focusing on family, culture holds promise for child welfare system
Last week, the government of Alberta released a report titled A Stronger, Safer Tomorrow with 39 specific actions to strengthen our child welfare system.
As the C5, we are five agencies working with children, youth and families every day who will be impacted by this plan. And we believe that, when fully implemented, it will affect their lives for the better.
The importance of working within a cultural and spiritual context is embedded throughout the plan. Imagine how significant this is for chil -
Melissa Etheridge is playing all the hits on tour as new album is on the way
In June 2016, Melissa Etheridge was on tour when she heard about the mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando.
Forty-nine people were killed and 58 were injured, making it the worst mass shooting in American history at the time. (Sadly, that distinction lasted for only just more than one year when a gunman killed 58 concertgoers in Las Vegas.)
As with most people, the Orlando killings enraged and saddened Etheridge. Unlike most, she was quickly able to turn those emotions into a song. Pulse, -

Fitness: Wear workout clothes to bed is one tip from avid exercisers who reach goals
The best advice comes from people who have pushed past the barriers that stand between them and their goals. The following words of wisdom come from exercisers who have figured out how to make health and exercise a priority.
1. Wear your clothes to bed.
Exercise is about choices. Make the decision to exercise the night before your workout when you are wide-awake — not in the morning when you are half asleep. Pack your gym bag, prep a healthy lunch or, as one of our -
