  • At the back end of a solid career, Kyle Brodziak returns to Edmonton Oilers

Nine years ago this week, Edmonton Oilers traded Kyle Brodziak to a divisional rival, Minnesota Wild, for a modest exchange of draft picks. For most of the intervening years, they’ve been looking for a similar player to fill the void he left behind at 4C.
Brodziak, then freshly-turned 25, was coming off his first two full NHL seasons in which he scored a combined 25 goals and 58 points. He had also emerged as one of the club’s top penalty-killing options while serving as the righthan

It looks like he’ll compete with Ryan Stanton and Keegan Lowe for the seventh d-man spot on the Oilers, if Evan Bouchard doesn’t force his way onto the team, that is.

“We are very disappointed,” said Pinto, an environmental engineer who has worked in the industry around the world. “The Alberta Ener

Asked what an “AAAA” player is, he said: “It’s usually a baseball term. It means a player that’s stuck somewhere bet
