  • LRT track death non-criminal: police

    The death of a 21-year-old man who was hit by an LRT train has been deemed non-criminal, police say.
    Major Collision Unit investigators made the determination after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a train around 1 a.m. Friday just south of the Clareview LRT station.

  • Doctor from Edmonton making name for himself in pediatric surgery

    An Edmonton man has made it big in the world of medicine for the young.
    Pramod Puligandla, a professor of pediatric surgery, pediatrics and surgery at McGill University in Montreal, has been elected to the Pediatric Surgery Board of the American Board of Surgery, the first Canadian to hold this position.
    He is also associate chair for perioperative services in the pediatric department of surgery.
