  • Woman killed in two-car collision on Anthony Henday Drive

    A 31-year-old woman has died after rear ending a van at a stop light on 184 Street over Anthony Henday Drive Monday morning.
    Edmonton police were already headed to the area after a motorist made a Curb the Danger complaint of a suspected impaired driver.
    When they arrived at 7:50 a.m. members found a 31-year-old woman dead inside of a crashed 2011 Mazda 3.
    According to police, the Mazda 3 was driving north on 184 Street when it rear ended a Ford van that was stopped at a red light.

    Cold Lake RCMP have charged a 35-year-old man with second degree murder in connection to the death of a 16-month-old girl who was killed in August.
    Veronica Poitras was rushed from her mother’s Cold Lake apartment to a hospital across the street just after 7 p.m., on Aug. 26.
    Soon after, she was taken to a hospital in Edmonton for treatment. She was taken off of life support and pronounced dead Tuesday, Aug. 29.

  • Lanes closed as police investigating crash on Anthony Henday Drive

    Police have closed both lanes of 184 Street at Anthony Henday Drive as they investigate a two-car collision Monday morning.

  • Witnesses sought in disturbance at Kingsway McDonald's restaurant

    An apparently intoxicated teen randomly started assaulting at least eight people at a Kingsway McDonald’s on Saturday afternoon and police are looking to speak to witnesses.
    Northwest Division patrol officers were called to the restaurant at 10520 111 Ave. around 3:30 p.m. for a report of a disturbance, a news release issued Friday evening stated.
