    Edmonton Garrison's military band will play at Buckingham Palace
    Military musicians from the Royal Canadian Artillery band based out of the Edmonton Garrison are performing ceremonial duties as part of the Queen’s Guard at Buckingham Place on June 18. 
    They will join the 2nd Battallion of the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, which is set to mount the guard on June 18, 26, 28 and July 1 and 3, according to a news release from the British Army. A total of 80 soldiers will be heading across the pond, along with 35 military musicians.

    An Edmonton woman and her dog are dead after being hit by an SUV on Saturday night.
    At around 7 p.m., police said the driver of a green Lexus SUV struck a 57-year-old woman and her dog while crossing at a marked crosswalk at Suder Greens Drive between Lewis Estates Boulevard and Potter Greens Drive. The woman and dog died on scene. 
    Police said a 42-year-old man was driving the SUV, along with his 40-year-old wife and 12-year-old son.

    Homicide detectives are investigating after one man was found dead and another injured in a north Edmonton parking lot Sunday morning.

    An Edmonton woman and her dog are dead after being hit by an SUV around 7 p.m. on Saturday at Suder Greens Drive at approximately 88 Avenue.
