  A man hit by a car on Jasper Avenue just before noon Wednesday was transported to hospital.
  Emergency crews quickly gathered several witnesses together and were waiting for police to arrive after the man was whisked away in the ambulance.

  A Sherwood Park is dead after his truck veered off the road near Redwater Tuesday evening. 
  Redwater RCMP said the 37-year-old man was driving a semi-truck with a flat deck trailer and no cargo on Highway 831 when he lost control.
  The truck hit the ditch before striking an embankment. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred between Township Road 610 and 612 south of Newbrook, around 110 km northeast of Edmonton.
