Marie Police Service received a report Saturday shortly before 6 p.m. of an alleged assault in the 700 block of Great Northern Road.Officers were dispatched to the scene and located the accused in custody of security guards. Police say the accused attempted to punch security guards after being advised to leave the property and attempted to bite them while being detained. • Grace Street break and enter yields arrest

  Sault Ste. Marie Police Service received a call early Friday morning of an alarm at a multi-unit residential building in the 0-100 block of Grace Street. Officers report seeing the accused exiting one of the units. An arrest was made. Gavin Belsito-Nolan, 34, of Blind River, is charged with break, enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence. The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 19.

  One person was sent to hospital last week after being robbed and knocked over. Last Wednesday, at about 11:10 a.m., Sault Ste. Marie Police Service received a report of a robbery in the area of John Street and St. George’s Avenue West. Police say the accused forcibly took an item from a victim and knocked them to the ground.
