  A man allegedly threatened someone with a machete during an argument near downtown on Thursday.The altercation in the 0 to 100 block of Church Street was reported at about 8:20 a.m., police say.A male suspect is accused of giving a false name to police. Ted Smith, 50, was charged with assault with a weapon, personation with intent to avoid arrest, prosecution, or obstruct justice and failure to attend court after having appeared.   A woman was punched in the face and pushed to the ground by her estranged spouse.Domenic Spina, who pleaded guilty to six charges including assault, went to his wife’s Bayview home on March 26.
