    Council OKs booze sales for Giovanni's Italian Festival
    Alcohol will be served at Giovanni’s upcoming Italian Festival at Roberta Bondar Place. The event runs July 5 from noon to 11 p.m. at the waterfront venue. Featured entertainment includes Carmen Spada, RPM and Elvis Presley tribute artist Larry Tschekalin. City council designated the event as municipally significant at a meeting on June 15. The designation is needed for organizers to apply for a special occasion permit through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

Marie with the 37th Battalion and was later transferred to the 15th Battalion. He lived at the corner of Tancred and Wellington streets. Bell worked at the A.C.R. Car shops when he enlisted.
