  Dick Joy, 81, Dec. 25, 2017. Long-time teacher at Sir James Dunn Collegiate and Vocational School. The Eagles won the Dunn’s first city and Northern Ontario Secondary School Association senior football championships in 1971 and 1972. Joy also coached senior basketball teams at the Dunn to a number of city and NOSSA championships. “He lived and breathed basketball,” said Jeff Giovanatti. “He was a straight shooter who told it like it was.   A new assistant pastor is serving at Precious Blood Cathedral.Rev. Emmanuel Zinsu began his appointment at Sault Ste. Marie’s oldest Catholic church on Nov. 1. He succeeds Rev. James Arulkumar who now serves parishes in Copper Cliff, Lively and Whitefish.Zinsu is a member of the Society of African Missions. A native of Nigeria, Zinsu was ordained to the priesthood in 2009.Rev. Hamish Currie is pastor of Precious Blood.
