Senior on scooter dies of collision injuries
via saultstar.comAn elderly Elliot Lake man riding a mobility scooter died after being struck by a vehicle in that community last Sunday.Donald Chartier, 80, was riding his scooter on Hillside Drive South in the early afternoon. Lenders ask courts to force Port of Algoma into receivership
via saultstar.comThe Port of Algoma is being forced into receivership by its prime lenders, GIP Primus and Brightwood Loan Services in order to move forward and finalize the purchase of Algoma Steel.
A court motion was to be heard in Toronto Thursday, requesting that a judge force the Port of Algoma into receivership.
The move is part of legal mechanics intended to help Algoma out of the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act process and return the Port of Algoma assets to the new owner of the steel plant.

Trillium Gift of Life Network (TGLN), Ontario’s organ and tissue donation and transplantation agency, presented SAH with the Provincial Conversion Rate Award for meeting or exceeding the target of a 58 per cent conversion rate set by TGLN.
Organ donation is a “complex process” and the conversion rate reflects how well TGLN
