  • Police, Station Mall partnership grows with satellite office

    A new satellite office at Station Mall will help Sault Ste. Marie Police Service increase its presence downtown.The JUMP space, based at a former outdoor Tip Top Tailors location on the building’s north side, began operation last week.Officers will use the office to make phone calls and complete paperwork rather than returning to police headquarters on Second Line East. It “makes common sense” for police to work where they are policing, Chief Hugh Stevenson told The Sault Star.
