  • Motorcyclist dies

    A motorcyclist sent to hospital late Saturday night with life-threatening injuries after a single-vehicle accident at the intersection of Trunk and Fournier roads has died, Sault Ste. Marie Police Service said Tuesday.
    The male driver, 23, was travelling northbound on Fournier Road approaching Trunk Road and lost control. The bike crossed the intersection, coming to rest on the north side of Trunk Road.
    No name has been released. Police continue to probe.

    Sault residents can soak up the local culture scene by heading downtown for Culture Days on Sept. 28 and 29.
    The two-day event is a collaborative effort among local groups with the Art Council of Algoma the catalyst for bringing Culture Days to the Sault.
