RCMP says area near 'out of control' Biggar grass fire being evacuated
The RCMP says a grass fire southwest of the Town of Biggar is burning “out of control” and it is directing its main efforts in the area towards assisting with evacuating the area.
According the RCMP, the fire is burning in the area between Highways 4 and 51, and Tower and Duperow Roads.
Police are asking members of the public to avoid the fire zone and to obey officers’ and emergency responders’ instructions if leaving the area.
