RCMP investigate after man, woman found dead on James Smith Cree Nation
A man and woman were found dead outside a home in the Saskatchewan community of James Smith Cree Nation.
Melfort RCMP responded Thursday around 2:20 a.m. “to a call for assistance,” police said in a news release. Upon arrival, a 19-year-old man and 19-year-old woman were found dead. Both are residents of James Smith Cree Nation, RCMP said. Their names were not released.
“The incident is not considered a risk to public safety,” RCMP said in a statement.
