Three men, one woman and a teen face a combined 66 firearms-related charges after Saskatoon police seized a loaded shotgun, a loaded sawed-off shotgun and ammunition Friday morning.
Police were called to the scene of a break-and-enter at a garage of a home in the 1200 block of Avenue L South just before 3 a.m. The officers were told the people believed to be involved had fled in a white Ford F-150, police said in a media release.

Broncos crash: Cases cited for judge to consider in sentence of truck driver
A Saskatchewan court heard sentencing arguments Thursday at a hearing for the truck driver who caused the Humboldt Broncos bus crash that killed 16 people and injured 13 others.
Jaskirat Singh Sidhu pleaded guilty earlier this month to all 29 charges of dangerous driving.
The Crown has recommended Sidhu be sentenced to 10 years in prison, while his legal team did not put forward a recommendation.

Family 'devastated' after Tammy Brown found dead in River Heights home
Tammy Brown is being remembered by her family as an “amazing mother, daughter and sister.”
Brown, 39, died on Jan. 29 in a River Heights home. Her partner, 37-year-old Blake Jeffrey Schreiner, was arrested at the scene and charged with second-degree murder.

Father of Humboldt Bronco player got apology in tearful meeting with truck driver
MELFORT — The father of a player killed in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash says he thinks meeting face-to-face with the truck driver who caused the collision was a powerful moment in both of their lives.
