Blaine Lake RCMP responded Sunday around 12:50 p.m. to a report of an unresponsive woman outside her home on Muskeg Lake, RCMP said in a news release issued Thursday.

LA LOCHE — The mayor of a northern Saskatchewan community says there are mixed feelings as renovations to the high school are revealed three years after a deadly shooting.

Death of woman on Muskeg Lake First Nation suspicious: RCMP
The death of a 56-year-old woman on Muskeg Lake Cree Nation is being treated by RCMP as suspicious.
Members of the Blaine Lake RCMP detachment responded Sunday around 12:50 p.m. to a report of an unresponsive woman outside her residence on Muskeg Lake, RCMP said in a news release. With EMS personnel already present when officers arrived, the woman was declared dead at the scene.
An autopsy was conducted Wednesday in Regina. She was identified by RCMP as Joanne Wolfe-Lafond.
