A massive house and piece of land listed for sale on Saskatoon Kijiji has sold for $550,000. Auction staff say it was a once in a lifetime item.
The unfinished mansion sits on a 160-acre estate complete with cultivated land, south of Highway 3 between the towns of Weldon and Kinistino. On Thursday, an online bidder from British Columbia bought it during an auction at Ritchie Brothers Auctions in Saskatoon. The auction took less than ten minutes.

Number of workplace deaths in Saskatchewan up by 10 compared to all of last year
REGINA — The Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board says all organizations should be investing in safety programs following a report that shows a rising number of workplace deaths.
The latest data shows there were 37 workplace deaths between Jan. 1 and Aug. 31 compared to 27 fatalities for all of last year.
Occupational disease accounted for 38.7 per cent of this year’s fatalities, largely due to asbestos exposure.
Motor vehicle accidents were also a leading cause.

Just after 9:30 p.m., responding officers found three women and one man in possession of a sawed off shotgun on the 400 block of Avenue M North.
The four were arrested after they had apparently randomly fired the gun while walking in the area.
