Wet weather slows harvest across Saskatchewan
Wet weather has put a damper on the province’s harvest.
The Government of Saskatchewan’s recent crop report indicates a “wet and cool” week has slowed harvest operations across the province, with only 68 per cent of the crop now in the bin.
That’s according to Saskatchewan Agriculture’s crop report, which says despite the wet weather, harvest is still slightly ahead of the five-year average of 64 per cent for this time of year.

The world’s largest potash mining company says no injuries were reported after a fire broke out underground at its Lanigan mine early Monday afternoon.
