Letter of the Day: Superfan areas ruin Saskatoon concerts
When attending a concert in a seated venue, paying for better seats makes sense. However, this new trend of having a “superfan area” or “VIP section” in Saskatoon at outdoor concerts is just plain annoying. Then and Now: Prince Albert National Park celebrates 90 years
On a map, Prince Albert National Park (PANP) looks like a long rectangle dotted with many blue lakes and vast green forests. Along the east central edge of the rectangle is Waskesiu Lake — the most visited part of the park and the site of its grand opening in 1928.
Although many visitors associate PANP with the resort town of Waskesiu (Cree for “red deer”), the nearly 4,000 square kilometre park has an endless, untouched back-country and many other lakes like Kingsmere, Cr -

'It's a lifelong dream': Davidson businessman completes 11-year restoration of WWII fighter
Terry Dieno will never forget the first time he saw Saskatchewan from the air — that patchwork quilt of farmers’ fields and gravel roads stretching to the horizon in every direction.
Some years after that fairground airplane ride in Davidson, Dieno remembers being out in a field on a tractor, pulling a cultivator, when he heard the roar of radial engines.

As many people start thinking snow, Saskatoon could still break smoke hour record
Many people are preparing for what is predicted to be a cold winter ahead, but experts with Environment Canada say Saskatoon still has a chance to break a record that is more than 35-years-old for the number of “smoke hours” recorded during a season.
Wildfires in British Columbia spewed smoke across the Canadian prairies for much of the summer and Saskatchewan residents will recall more than one occasion where the sky was a hazy orange. Information from the national forecaster indica -
