Wednesday night apartment fire causes $30,000 in damages
Saskatoon fire crews responded to calls of a fire at an apartment at 315 Avenue H south at about 9:30 p.m., Wednesday.
Four engines, a ladder company and a rescue unit were dispatched. Heavy smoke was seen coming from a second floor suite when crews arrived, according to a Saskatoon Fire Department news release.
The fire was quickly contained and brought under control. A search was done to ensure there were no occupants inside the suite and crews helped evacuate residents from nearby suites.
