Nothing beats Doukhobor bread made fresh at the Ex
The recipe is 200 years old. Each batch of dough uses 132 pounds of flour, and makes about 100 loaves. Once the dough rises, the bread is baked in one of three traditional clay-brick ovens, heated by wood fires.
The Doukhobor Society of Saskatoon has been making and selling Doukhobor bread at the Saskatoon Ex for many years. In fact, some people even go to the Ex just to buy their bread. -

Sandra Lee Frank is the eighth Saskatchewan resident in 2018 to claim a lottery prize of at least $1 million.

Underwood will be in Saskatoon on May 31, 2019 as part of her “Cry Pretty 360 Tour” which will see the well-known musician touring 55 arenas across Canada and the U.S. to promote her new album Cry Pretty set for release on Sept. 14.

The recipe is 200 years old. Each batch of dough uses 132 pounds of flour, and makes about 100 loaves. Once the dough rises, the bread is baked in one of three traditional clay-brick ovens, heated by wood fires.

Audit questions City of Saskatoon's ability to hit greenhouse gas targets
The City of Saskatoon should either revise its greenhouse gas targets or ramp up its reduction efforts, an audit of the city’s plan says.
City council’s finance committee considered the results of the audit by PricewaterhouseCoopers at its meeting Tuesday afternoon.

A taste of Doukhobor history at the Saskatoon Ex
As you walk down the midway at the Saskatoon Ex, one thing you may not expect to find is a booth for homemade Doukhobor bread.
Volunteer bakers are making and selling Doukhobor bread at the Saskatoon Ex.
About 60 people volunteer each year to help with the bread, which is made fresh right on the exhibition grounds and sold as a fundraiser for the Doukhobor Society of Saskatoon.
“We make approximately 700 loaves of bread per day right now,” said one of the volunteers, Harvey Kazakoff.
