A crash involving a city police cruiser resulted in traffic restrictions at the intersection of Idylwyld Drive North and 22nd Street West this morning.
The officer driving the cruiser had been dispatched to a priority call and had activated the cruiser’s emergency equipment when the crash happened around 9:45 a.m., police said.

At roughly 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, a 50-year-old woman struck a police vehicle with her car, according to a police news release.

At 9:30 p.m., RCMP received a report a man tried to offer two girls, aged six and nine, candy and a ride home in the area of 100 Street, according to an RCMP news release.

Saskatchewan man dies in northwest Alberta ultralight plane crash
GRANDE PRAIRIE, Alta. — The pilot of an ultralight has died after the small plane crashed in northwest Alberta.
RCMP say the man, who was 43, was from Saskatchewan.
His name and home community were not released.
The ultralight went down east of Grande Prairie on Tuesday afternoon.
He was the only person aboard the aircraft and was pronounced dead by paramedics.
The Transportation Safety Board says it will investigate.
