  The Texas 4000 is a 70-day bike trip that goes from Austin, Texas, to Anchorage, Alaska. The organization’s website calls it “the longest annual charity bike ride in the world,” and riders make stops along the route to speak about the importance of early detection for cancer.

• Man arrested after North Battleford store employee threatened with a knife

  A 34-year-old man is charged with theft and assault with a weapon after an incident at a business in North Battleford.
  The man was arrested Saturday evening and charged in connection with the robbery from a business on north Territorial Drive on July 11, according to an RCMP news release.
  Police say the man was witnessed stealing items and when he was confronted by an employee outside the building, the man allegedly pulled a knife before fleeing the scene on a bike.
