REGINA — Government officials from Canada’s four western provinces plan to meet next week to discuss standardized trucking regulations.
Trucking safety has been in the spotlight since an April 6 when 16 people with the Humboldt Broncos died and injured 13 others were injured after a transport truck and the junior hockey team’s bus collided.

Two men dead after two-vehicle collision near Cochin
Two men are dead after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 4 near Cochin, Saskatchewan Wednesday night.
Battlefords RCMP responded to the scene, located about four kilometres south of Cochin, at approximately 11:30 p.m.
On arrival, the driver and front passenger of a car were found deceased, according to an RCMP news release.
A third male, a rear passenger of the same car, was taken to hospital in North Battleford. His injuries are unknown.
