A 39-year-old man has been charged with arson after a body was found following an early-morning house fire.
Saskatoon fire received a call on July 6 at 2:31 a.m. about smoke in the area of the 200 block of Avenue F North. Trucks from three stations responded to the scene and had the fire under control in 12 minutes, according to Saskatoon fire last week. Firefighters then searched the home and found the body of an adult.
According to Saskatoon police, an autopsy on the body began Monday. Sa

A 39 year old man has been charged with arson in connection with the fire. He appeared in court today on the charge.

RCMP respond to serious crash on Highway 16
Warman RCMP are currently on scene of a serious two-vehicle collision between Saskatoon and Langham.
The northbound lanes of Highway 16 are blocked and traffic is being detoured into the south bound lanes, according to an RCMP news release.
Motorists are asked to use caution when travelling in the vicinity of the collision and be aware of emergency personnel working on scene.
Langham is 35 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon along Highway 16. -
