A common question I often hear is, ‟How do I attract more butterflies to my yard?”
Butterflies belong to the Lepidoptera order of insects. The caterpillar, or larva, go through a series of ‘instars’ and changes in appearance. Many butterflies spin a silk case or cocoon prior to pupating; this structure is known as a chrysalis.
Some butterflies may pupate in crevices or underground. It is very important to recognize the larvae as well as the adult forms of the butterfly. S

Government seeking input on workplace impairment ahead of cannabis legalization
The provincial government is seeking feedback from residents on how to keep workers and workplaces safe from marijuana impairment once weed is legalized this fall.

The Saskatoon police major crime unit is investigating a suspicious death after a body was found following an early-morning house fire on the city’s west side.
Saskatoon fire received a call at 2:31 a.m. about smoke in the area of the 200 block of Avenue F North. Trucks from three stations responded to the scene, and crews made a “quick interior fire attack and had the fire under control in 12 minutes,” according to a press release.
