Teenager charged after almost colliding with unmarked police cruiser
A 19-year-old woman has been charged after she nearly caused a head-on collision with a police car on Thursday.
At roughly 5:30 a.m., two officers were travelling in the 2500 block of 33rd Street West in an unmarked police cruiser, according to a news release from Saskatoon police. That’s when an oncoming vehicle entered their lane at a “high rate of speed” almost crashing with the officers head on.

I was scheduled for an angioplasty on May 1. When I was called I was told I would need to stay in Saskatoon overnight. I assumed that meant in the hospital because I had a previous angioplasty several years ago and was required to stay overnight in the hospital.

Local golf roundup: Nelson prepares for third world blind golf championship
Saskatoon’s Gerry Nelson is preparing to play in his third world blind golf championship.
Nelson, who lost his eyesight from diabetes at age 25, plans to take his game to Rome, Italy, this fall. He previously placed third and fifth in two previous world championships. He is ranked No. 5 in the world.
Nelson will take part in the Western Canadian blind golf championship and Canadian Open this summer in Truro, N.S., prior to the world championship.

Re: “Province makes naloxone available to public without pharmacist involvement” (SP, May 17). Jim Reiter wants to be sure that naloxone is made easily available without prescription so that overdose victims can be treated quickly and their lives saved.
My question is this: Why do I and many others with anaphylactic reactions to nuts, fish, insect stings and other life-threatening allergies have to have a prescription for an EpiPen, then pay as much as $150 to acquire one? O -
Killer's release revoked after absconding from halfway house, followed by police standoff
Convicted killer Terrance Vincent Bear is back behind bars at a federal institution after leaving the halfway house where he had been ordered to live on the first day of his release.

A Saskatoon man with a disturbing pattern of domestic violence and jealousy is out of prison and living in a halfway house after getting his legally mandated statutory release this month.
