The RCMP detachment in Biggar is asking for public assistance in an ongoing investigation to identify and locate a man believed to be involved in a robbery that took place at a business on Highway 14 in Biggar during the evening of December 9, 2017.

House fire started by child with lighter, fire department says
An early morning house fire was the result of children playing with a lighter in a closet, according to the Saskatoon Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to 3399 Fairlight Drive at about 2:30 a.m. Friday after reports of heavy smoke and flame coming from the rear of a house. The fire department dispatched three engine companies, an aerial ladder truck and a rescue truck to the scene from three stations.
