  A 26-year-old Saskatoon man is in police custody facing robbery and weapons charges related to an armed robbery that took place Wednesday afternoon.
  According to a police news release, officers responded to a report of a robbery in progress just before 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at a convenience store on the 3900 block of 8th Street East.
  Prior to police arriving at the scene, the suspect fled the area with an undisclosed amount of money after threatening the store’s cashier with a knife.

  According to a police news release, a lone man has barricaded himself inside of a home and is believed to be in possession of a knife. Currently there is a large police presence in the area so officers are asking members of the public to avoid the area until further notice is given.
